I took Kate to the elementary school orchestra exhibition last week. The VSO puts this on every year and everyone from her pre school class plus a couple 1000 other kids and parents all came down to the Opheum Theatre in DT Vancouver to see a short hour long show designed for kids.
A VERY verbose Kate (bla bla bla bla all the way DT in the car) shut up like a clam and her eyes bugged out as we went into the very classic looking Opheum Theatre. She needed to sit in my lap as she got acclimated. Relaxed, then discovered the chair flips up and down. That became 45 minutes of fun as she paused to watch and clap as the orchestra played. Surrounded by other 3 and 4 year olds this did not stand out in any way.
She was SOOO good, even alerting me to the need to pee before the event , then getting back in time for the start!! Good Girl!
